By the end of the Master of Arts in TESOL program, students will be able to:

• Apply Second Language Acquisition Theories: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of
  key SLA theories and apply them to support effective English language instruction in diverse
  educational settings.
• Design Learner-Centered Instruction: Create and adapt syllabi, lesson plans, and materials
  that address the linguistic and cultural needs of specific learner groups, including young learners
  and adults.
• Assess Language Proficiency: Develop fair and reliable assessment tools tailored to learners’
  proficiency levels and interpret results to inform teaching and learning.
• Integrate Technology in Language Teaching: Utilize digital tools and online platforms to
  enhance language learning, engagement, and communication in both in-person and virtual
  classrooms.
• Teach Specialized English Courses: Plan and deliver English instruction for specific purposes
  (e.g., academic, professional, or vocational), drawing on genre analysis and authentic material
  use.
• Support Identity and Inclusion: Recognize and respond to the complex ways identity, culture,
  and power dynamics shape language learning, fostering inclusive and equitable classrooms.
• Engage in Reflective Teaching Practice: Critically evaluate personal teaching methods and
  outcomes through reflective practice, research-informed pedagogy, and supervised internship
  experiences.
• Lead in Global TESOL Contexts: Demonstrate the leadership, collaboration, and intercultural
